hejiang Technology Institute of Economy (ZJTIE) is a full-time public vocational college under the leadership of Department of Education of Zhejiang Province (DOEZJ) and Zhejiang Material Industry Group (ZJMI). The college is located in the Hangzhou Economic Development Area(HEDA), Xiasha, Hangzhou, covering an area of 384,000.26 m², and the building area is 219,800 m². Its library boasts 667,600 books. The worth of teaching equipment sums up to RMB30.1Million. Equipped with high standard teaching, athletic and living facilities, the new campus is elegant. At present, there are nearly 6,475 full-time students and over 400 full-time teachers (over 90 are professors and associate professors). More than 100 teachers have a master’s or doctororal degree. And over 160 teachers have possessed bi-professional quality. The college is comprised of Circulation Economy Department, Business Management Department, Finance & Accounting Department, Economic Information Department, Automobile Application Department, Foundation Department, Humanity Science Department and Physical Education Department. There are 22 majors such as Logistics Management, Marketing, etc. The objective of professional training of our institute is to serve the needs of Zhejiang province and the “Yangtze River Delta”, to cultivate our students to become well-educated professional talents possessing cooperative and dedicative spirits, having international concepts, marketing awareness, and humanism qualities as well. This depends on the strong industrial background of ZJMI.

 With the immense sponsorship from ZJMI, one of the 20 large-scale logistics groups of China, boosting to the 60th in the 500 top enterprises of China, the college extensively relates with it in teaching, research and operation. ZJMI has established the industry research and development center in ZJTIE, including a research and development center, staff training center and talent cultivation center, enjoying a long-term and substantial fund sponsorship and expanding various and practical college-enterprise cooperation. They have formed an excellent developing system and efficiency: ZJTIE functions as the effective industry institute of ZJMI, and ZJMI provides practice bases for ZJTIE. With the first-class facilities and fruitful teaching, the college has been established as a National Professional Skill Identification Center, National Model Practice Base, and so on. In addition, to improve the students’ practical capabilities, the college, together with ZJMI, sets up many other practical teaching bases: automobile services, information technology, E-commerce, etc.

Based on the cooperative mechanism with large scale enterprises and learning from overseas excellent vocational education concepts and experiences, the college wholly propels reforms of professional cultivation mode and curriculum systems. CBE(Competency-based Education)-oriented curriculum reform has achieved virtual phasic fruits and is progressing constantly, healthily, and effectively. On the basis of traditional Chinese culture, the college has developed a school-running distinctiveness in humanistic education with classical poetry teaching and ancient arts appreciation. The college has established a Chinese Poetry Teaching Propelling Center, National Poem Teaching and Culture Acd., and Ancient Chinese Arts Identification Center.
